As well as circular needles to knit your work in the round, you can use a set of circular needles to knit your work flat – in just the same way that you use 2 straight needles.
You might do this when your pattern calls for a large amount of stitches to be cast on and worked.
Or you could do this if you don’t like using long straight needles.
